About the Course
Program overview
This training package is designed as a five-day program that builds knowledge and hands-on competence in passenger-car suspension and chassis systems. The sequence moves from fundamentals and layout concepts to component function, inspection, diagnosis, wheel alignment, service best practice, and customer complaint handling. It is suitable for mixed cohorts of apprentice technicians, service technicians, and service advisors who need stronger technical confidence in chassis-related concerns.
Practical exercises focus on common workshop tasks such as component identification, ride-height checks, visual inspection, ball-joint and bushing assessment, road-test symptom interpretation, and pre-alignment inspection. The course ends with a capstone diagnostic exercise and final assessment.
Technical emphasis reflects widely accepted ride-control and chassis principles: suspension must support vehicle weight, maintain tire contact with the road, control ride height, absorb road shock, maintain alignment geometry, and support directional control. Alignment, inspection, and diagnosis are treated as connected activities rather than isolated topics.
